Outside Sales Representative-Construction

OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTITIVE

We are currently seeking Outside Sales Representative for our Piqua, OH location. The Outside Sales Rep will be responsible to prospect and generate new commercial business. This position requires business to business cold calling in the field to generate new sales. This person must be capable of meeting (or exceeding) sales goals while maintaining a professional image of Hemm's Glass Shop's.
Duties for this position to include but are not limited to:
o Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective clients.
o Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products, services and pricing structure.
o Makes telephone calls, in-person cold calls as well as scheduled visits and presentations to current and prospective clients.
o Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business.
o Meet or exceed sales goals.
o Prepare and deliver clear and accurate sales proposals/presentations and follow up diligently with key decision makers.
o Utilize media to search for prospective clients and research company information to determine best strategy to land the sale.
o Complete required reports and other paperwork in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy.
o Continuously increase knowledge of the products you are selling, be aware of product changes and modifications.
o Attend trade shows and conferences to increase knowledge and build relationships with potential clients.
o Regularly meet with Management to review sales activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers.
o Other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Skills
o Outside business-to-business sales experience with a proven track record of success.
o Experience in developing and executing sales strategies.
o Ability to build relationships and relate to customer needs and requests.
o Possess strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
o Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals.
o Must present and communicate in a professional manner.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Must be organized and have effective planning and time management skills.
o Possess proven analytical/problem solving solutions for the customer and the company.
o Computer proficiency in Microsoft applications.
o Previous sales experience in the aluminum/metal panel, glass or commercial construction industry experience, a definite plus.
o High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Construction Management or related field preferred.
o Valid driver's license and good driving record. Must be able to travel as required.
o Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
