You must be a high school graduate or have a general equivalency diploma.
Our office uses Electronic Health records so good computer skills are very important.
We will train on site to do pre-test in our system, including using visual field and retinal imaging instruments.
Responsibilities of this position include answering the phone, taking messages, and scheduling appointments, as well as working with patients to choose frame styles, entering and completing glasses and contact lens orders, and instructing patients in contact lens insertion, removal, and proper contact lens care.
JOB EXPECTATIONS:
duties including but not limited to - Greet patients with a friendly and welcoming manner.
Answer phones and assist patient with needs which may include scheduling an appointment for yearly exam, awareness of emergency needs and where the schedule may allow for this visit, etc.
Troubleshoot patient concerns and address these concerns appropriately.
Pre-test patients effectively and in a timely manner to keep the Doctor on schedule.
Attention to cleanliness of the office and willingness to perform these tasks without instruction.
Accurately take optical measurements.
Final inspect glasses for job accuracy before dispensing to patients.
Fit, adjust and repair eyeglasses.
Contact lens instruction for insertion, removal and proper care.
Order contact lenses and learn basic knowledge of lens types.
Input and upkeep inventory.
Bill insurance.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Strong customer service skills; communicator, listener and team builder Awareness of current fashion trends Familiarity with computers Embrace new technology and change Reliability and punctuality Due to the size of our practice we are not able to offer health insurance but we do paid time off and holidays, and free yearly eye exams to you and your immediate household members with glasses provided to employees.
We are closed Sundays and Mondays with limited hours on Saturdays.
